● Design Origin & Timeline: DAF Trucks-Côte d'Or was a Belgian professional cycling team competing during 1982. DAF Trucks, the Dutch truck manufacturer, acted as the title sponsor, paired with Côte d’Or chocolate brand and Gazelle bicycle maker as co-sponsors. The squad lined up for the Tour de France and many top European stage races and one-day classics.

● Cycling Culture Behind The Design: Vertical colour side panels and multi-line sponsor bands were popular in Belgian professional cycling design of the early 1980s. The striking white, blue and red geometric layout makes sponsor logos stand out clearly in the peloton, showcasing the distinctive retro aesthetic of Belgian race jerseys from this era.

● Visual Theme: Clean white base jersey decorated with wide vertical blue side panels outlined with thin red stripes. Short sleeves feature white fabric with dual red and blue striped cuffs. The stand collar has red and blue trim rings, paired with a full-length centre front zipper.

● Brand Markings: Large bold black "DAF Trucks" lettering sits above "GAZELLE" text on the upper chest, with "CÔTE D’OR" displayed prominently on a horizontal band below. Vertical "CÔTE D’OR" branding appears on the blue side panels, and partial sponsor text is printed on the outer side of each short sleeve.
